Sign-in flow

Two-factor authentication is supported via app-based TOTP. Hardware security keys are not supported. The recommended TOTP apps for a crypto-rail account are the same ones used to protect crypto wallets (Authy, Google Authenticator).
Password reset
- Tap Forgot password? on the login overlay.
- Enter the account email.
- Tap Send reset link.
- Check inbox for email from [email protected].
- Tap reset link (60-minute expiry).
- Enter new password (8 char min, one uppercase, one number).
- Tap Reset.
Our reset email arrived in 38 seconds. Reset link auto-logged us into the dashboard.
Account lockout
Five failed attempts trigger a 15-minute lockout.
Recovery options:
- Wait the 15 minutes (recommended).
- Or escalate via chatbot → social media DM → email ([email protected]).
There is no live chat or phone for fast lockout recovery. Our deliberate lockout test cleared via email in 6 hours 11 minutes.
KYC: documents and timing
KYC triggers before the first cash redemption. Wallet purchases and Fish Games / slot play in Sweeps Tokens mode do not require KYC.

The crypto wallet sign-message step is unique to Scrooge’s stablecoin-redemption flow. The cashier displays a string to sign; the player signs in Phantom or MetaMask; Scrooge verifies the signature matches the wallet address. This proves the player controls the receiving wallet before any stablecoin redemption ships.

Linking a crypto wallet
To enable USDC, USDT, BUSD, or BNB redemption:
- Log in to scrooge.casino.
- Open Account Settings → Wallets.
- Tap Connect Wallet.
- Select wallet brand (Phantom, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet).
- Approve the connection in the wallet app.
- Sign the verification message.
- Wallet appears in linked list with a partial address display.
Linked wallets persist across sessions. Multiple wallets can be linked simultaneously (e.g., one Phantom for USDC redemption and one MetaMask for BNB redemption).
Linking Cash App
- Open Account Settings → Cash App.
- Enter your Cashtag ($username format).
- Confirm via Cash App deep-link.
State restrictions
Six states blocked at registration:
Washington, Michigan, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Alaska.
VPN circumvention triggers geolocation flagging at the KYC stage. Sweeps Tokens balances earned from a flagged state can void at redemption review.
