Scrooge on Mobile 2026: Browser Performance, Wallet Connect, Cash App

The headline: no native app, but wallet-connect works in mobile browser

Scrooge does not publish a native iOS app on the App Store. There is no Android APK on the Google Play Store. Mobile play runs through the browser at scrooge.casino.

The compensating factor for crypto rails: the cashier supports WalletConnect for Phantom, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet in the mobile browser. Tapping a wallet brand at the cashier launches the wallet app via deep-link and returns to the Scrooge browser tab on confirmation. End-to-end time for our Phantom-wallet USDC purchase: 41 seconds from cashier tap to credited balance.

What we measured: iOS Safari

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.4, Safari, on 100 Mbps Wi-Fi. Mean of six load attempts:

Action Time
scrooge.casino cold load 4.6 seconds
scrooge.casino warm load 1.9 seconds
Login form submit to dashboard 2.8 seconds
Slot tile to game frame (Hacksaw) 3.6 seconds
Slot tile to game frame (Relax Gaming) 3.9 seconds
Fish Games tab load 3.2 seconds
Poker lobby load 2.8 seconds
Cashier open 2.0 seconds
Phantom WalletConnect → USDC sent 41 seconds end-to-end

What we measured: Chrome Android

Pixel 8, Android 14, Chrome 124, on the same Wi-Fi:

Action Time
scrooge.casino cold load 5.0 seconds
Trust Wallet WalletConnect → USDT sent 38 seconds
Fish Games tab load 3.5 seconds

Android’s WalletConnect handoff to Trust Wallet was slightly faster than iOS’s handoff to Phantom (38 vs 41 seconds). The difference is within run-to-run variance.

Fish Games on mobile: portrait-mode, tap-heavy

The Fish Games tab loaded in 3.2 seconds. The fish-shooter mechanic renders in portrait orientation. Bullets are tapped at fish targets; rapid-tap gameplay drains battery noticeably faster than slot play (10% over 30 minutes vs 6% for slots).

The Fish Games UI is dense on a 6.1-inch iPhone screen. Multiple weapon-tier selectors plus the bet-size slider plus the auto-fire toggle compete for thumb-reach.

Poker on mobile: 6-max tables work, multi-tabling does not

The Texas Hold’em ring-game tables loaded in 2.8 seconds. 6-max tables render cleanly in landscape orientation. Hand timer, bet slider, fold/call/raise buttons are all comfortable on iPhone 15 Pro.

Multi-tabling is not supported in the mobile browser; one active table per session. Desktop browser supports up to 4 simultaneous tables. For tournament play (Scrooge runs scheduled small-field tournaments), single-table mobile is functional but not optimal for late-stage play with multi-table presence.

The Cash App purchase route in the cashier launches a deep link to the Cash App iOS or Android app, confirms the amount in Cash App’s native confirmation screen, and returns to Scrooge with credited balance. Our Cash App purchase of $9.99 completed in 23 seconds end-to-end.

Add-to-Home-Screen as a pseudo-app

PWA shortcut available via Safari Share menu (iOS) or Chrome three-dot menu (Android). Under 5 MB storage. No native push notifications.

What does not work well on mobile

  1. No native push notifications for poker tournament starts or Cash App redemption settlement. Email-only.
  2. Fish Games UI density is tight on 6.1-inch screens.
  3. Multi-tabling absent in mobile poker.
  4. Live chat support absent, so mid-session crypto-wallet issues (failed deposits, on-chain confirmation delays) escalate via chatbot or email at 10-to-18-hour response.

Network conditions

Network scrooge.casino cold WalletConnect handoff Poker latency
100 Mbps Wi-Fi 4.6 sec 41 sec Stable
4G LTE (50 Mbps) 6.1 sec 48 sec Stable
3G HSPA+ (5 Mbps) 11.8 sec 90+ sec, often fails Time-pressure decisions degraded
Edge (200 Kbps) Timeout Fails Unusable

Battery drain

iPhone 15 Pro across 30-minute sessions at 50% brightness:

Activity Battery drain
Hacksaw slot session 6%
Fish Games session 10%
Poker ring game 5%

Fish Games is the highest-drain activity in our coverage. The rapid-tap input plus per-shot graphics rendering drives the figure.

Negatives we documented

  1. No native app, no push notifications, no offline mode.
  2. WalletConnect handoff latency of 38 to 41 seconds is slower than Apple Pay (3 seconds at WOW Vegas) or Google Pay (5 seconds).
  3. Fish Games burns battery 67% faster than slot play on the same hardware.
