The headline: no native app, PayPal and Apple Pay work in browser
Funrize does not publish a native iOS app on the App Store. There is no Android APK on the Google Play Store. The mobile experience runs entirely through the browser at funrize.com.
The compensating factors: PayPal mobile and Apple Pay both work in the mobile browser, live chat and phone support are both reachable during business hours, and the lobby (Slots + Fishing Games) is narrow enough that the responsive layout loads cleanly on small screens.
What we measured: iOS Safari
iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.4, Safari, on 100 Mbps Wi-Fi. Mean of six load attempts:
| Action | Time |
|---|---|
| funrize.com cold load | 4.3 seconds |
| Warm load | 1.6 seconds |
| Login form to dashboard | 2.5 seconds |
| Slot tile to game frame (Pragmatic Play) | 3.3 seconds |
| Slot tile to game frame (BGaming) | 4.0 seconds |
| Fishing Games tab load | 3.5 seconds |
| Cashier open | 1.9 seconds |
| PayPal confirmation | 19 seconds end-to-end |
| Apple Pay confirmation | 3.1 seconds |
| Live chat open | 5 seconds |
Apple Pay’s 3.1-second confirmation is the fastest fiat purchase path. PayPal’s 19-second flow is slower because of the PayPal deep-link app handoff but functionally smooth.
What we measured: Chrome Android
Pixel 8, Android 14, Chrome 124:
| Action | Time |
|---|---|
| funrize.com cold load | 4.7 seconds |
| Fishing Games tab load | 3.8 seconds |
| PayPal confirmation | 22 seconds |
Google Pay is not in the Funrize cashier. Android users rely on PayPal or card entry.
Fishing Games on mobile: high engagement, high battery drain
The Fishing Games tab loaded in 3.5 seconds. The fish-shooter mechanic uses tap-to-fire and drag-to-aim controls in portrait orientation. The screen real estate on a 6.1-inch iPhone is adequate but tight; the weapon-tier selector and bet-size slider compete for thumb-reach with the active fishing field.
Rapid-tap gameplay drives the highest battery drain in our mobile testing. A 30-minute Fishing Games session drew 11% battery on iPhone 15 Pro at 50% brightness, versus 6% for a 30-minute Pragmatic Play slot session.
Live chat and phone on mobile
Live chat opened in 5 seconds via the floating-button overlay. Agent response in our test came in 6 minutes 47 seconds during a Tuesday afternoon session. Chat history persisted across tab navigation.
Phone support reachable via tap-to-call link in the support page. Our call connected to a live agent in 2 minutes 47 seconds.
Both synchronous channels work cleanly on mobile, which is the key differentiation from competitors with email-only support menus.
PayPal mobile flow
The PayPal route in the cashier launches a deep link to the PayPal iOS or Android app (if installed) or falls back to PayPal’s mobile web flow. Our $9.99 PayPal first-purchase completed in 19 seconds end-to-end on iOS, with the 300% match applied as observed in the cashier.
Add-to-Home-Screen as a pseudo-app
PWA shortcut via Safari Share menu or Chrome three-dot menu. Under 5 MB storage. No native push notifications.
What does not work well on mobile
- No native push notifications for daily-login bonuses or promotion reminders. Email is the alert channel.
- No Google Pay for Android mobile wallet users. PayPal or card entry only.
- Fishing Games UI density is tight on 6.1-inch iPhone screens.
- Fishing Games battery drain is the highest mobile activity in our coverage.
Network conditions
| Network | Cold load | Slots | Fishing Games |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 Mbps Wi-Fi | 4.3 sec | Stable | Stable |
| 4G LTE (50 Mbps) | 5.6 sec | Stable | Stable |
| 3G HSPA+ (5 Mbps) | 10.9 sec | Stable | Per-shot lag |
| Edge (200 Kbps) | Timeout | Will not load | Unusable |
Fishing Games degrades faster than slots under bandwidth pressure because each shot is a server round-trip.
Battery drain
iPhone 15 Pro, 30-minute sessions at 50% brightness:
| Activity | Battery drain |
|---|---|
| Slots (Pragmatic Play) | 6% |
| Fishing Games | 11% |
| Live chat conversation | 3% |
Negatives we documented
- No native iOS or Android app. Browser-only.
- No Google Pay for Android.
- Fishing Games is the highest-drain mobile activity in our coverage.
